     How does this work?  -- What do you do?  -- What do I do?


     Most coaching is provided via the telephone (telecoaching).  One of the many advantages of telecoaching is the ability to coach others wherever they may be.  It does not limit us to being in the same location. There are different formats available.  We can meet 2, 3 or 4 times per month for 30 or 45 minutes per session.  We schedule our times together in advance and you call me at the pre-determined time. 


     In addition, email and occasional short (5-10 min) calls for the purpose of quick check-in’s, pep talks, celebrations, etc., are entirely appropriate within this coaching relationship.


     Since personal growth, development and changing of habits takes time, most clients agree to a minimum 3 month commitment.  After that time, we review progress, interest and/or need for additional sessions. 


     As your coach
, I will listen, ask questions, offer observations, and provide feedback to help you identify, clarify and achieve your goals. 


     You will be asked to stretch yourself further and take more actions than you would on your own, to get what you want.  You will be asked to consider different approaches and ways of thinking and try them out to see if they work for you.  You will complete action items between coaching sessions (these are actions you decide upon during the coaching session, you always have a choice!).  You will explore options, consider new possibilities, and generate strategies for yourself.  Remember, you are responsible for your own results.

Prior to each session you may choose to complete a short Coaching Preparation Form to highlight accomplishments, open issues, and topics for the next session and email it to me prior to the session.

During each session we will discuss where you are at; what is working (or not working); celebrate successes; determine whether adjustments need to be made to your goals, etc.

At the conclusion of each session we will review what went well, what was most helpful, what still needs to be covered, and determine what ‘homework’ would be appropriate to progress towards your goals.
